According to a recent report from Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder could possibly reunite professionally for the season finale of The Vampire Diaries. The report claimed that Dobrev is now preparing physically for the show’s last season.

The report indicated that Dobrev completed a physically challenging obstacle course and she even shared a photo online saying, “Artic Enema, Electric, Shock Therapy, and 10 miles of mud. We survived… Barely.”

Several predictions have started circulating and are making a buzz on the internet, but the cast and crew of the show are yet to confirm the rumors if Dobrev has really signed up for the show’s season finale.

Dobrev might return to Mystic Falls in the show as Elena since Season 7 of The Vampire Diaries‘ ending showed that Elena might be in danger or tortured. The site predicted that Elena could be calling out Damon for help, which could lure him to danger, as she could also return as Katherine.

On the other side of the story, Somerhalder’s wife, Nikki Reed, is affected by Dobrev’s possible return to the show. In another report from Celebrity Dirty Laundry, it was indicated that Reed is jealous of the ex-couple’s working relationship, especially now that divorce reports have been making rounds about their marriage.

It was also indicated that Reed does not want Somerhalder to work with Dobrev as it could impose a serious threat to the status of their marriage.

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are yet to confirm if they are already working on The Vampire Diaries as of this date. However, even Reed is yet to comment on the rumors that she does not want to see the two working together.
