He is partnering with TV producer Dick Wolf, a two-time Emmy winner. According to Universal Television and NBC’s announcement through  J-14 Magazine, they will create a drama that focuses on the highs and lows of a wildly successful boy band.

Zayn is thrilled that he will work with Dick Wolf and cited him as a “legend”. The fact that he is going to have a chance to work with him and NBC is an awesome opportunity for the singer.

The drama  titled, Boys is still in the process of creation. They will also feature original music for their project. The goal of the drama is to give life to what happens to artists when they rise to fame, their experiences, and sacrifices, the things they have to do in exchange for their popularity.

As Uncle Ben from Spiderman  says, “With great power comes great responsibility.” And being part of a famous boy band is not a bed of roses, just like what Zayn Malik partly revealed in his experience when he was still wth One Direction.

The president of NBC Entertainment, Jennifer Salke, feels positive about the project, sharing that they have “passionate and prolific producers” on board to make their vision come true. Furthermore, she believes that with Zayn being part of it, only shows that the television drama aims to be as genuine as possible in a world where “kids are catapulted into fame at a dizzying speed.”

It is quite surprising that he still has plans even with his recent anxiety struggles. Perhaps with this project, he can take a break from the pressure of  being on stage performing for his fans.

Zayn Malik is also slated to release his autobiography in two months (November) emphasizing that he will show his true self, far from what the media pictures him to be, as reported by BBC News.
