‘Jane the Virgin’ Season 3 Spoilers: Jane Will Lose Her Virginity, But Not to Michael?
Now that Jane Villanueva is a married woman who saved her virginity for marriage (despite having a baby), it is a big moment to know she can finally consummate her love with someone. However, with her husband Michael’s condition, reports of the special person not automatically her husband is a guessing game for fans of Jane the Virgin Season 3.

According to International Business Times, showrunner and creator Jennie Snyder Urman confirmed that Jane’s (Gina Rodriguez) “first time” will definitely happen this coming season. It will happen in the first half of Jane the Virgin Season 3, and the show is preparing for this momentous occasion in the life of its lead star.
The troubling question is, how will it happen if Michael (Brett Dier) is fighting for his life from the gunshot wound he got last season? Will ex-flame Rafael (Justin Baldoni) comfort Jane to lead to such an intimate moment? But Urman is pre-empting that possibility because there will be someone else entering the grad student mom’s life.
“There’s obviously a lot of tension and question marks over that,” Urman admitted. “You’ll meet someone from Jane’s past before she met Michael.”
A new guy to complicate matters? That is something viewers have to tune in for.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview of Refinery 29 to lead star Rodriguez, she has positive thoughts about her role’s anticipation of sex and even shared about her first moment too. Her belief in her role was a sort of stand to critics of people who value virginity until marriage.
“She just was making a commitment, and this kind of commitment is just unpopular in our society,” the Deepwater Horizon actress said to dispel the stigma of “prudishness” for women who would like to wait. Her “discipline” was what Rodriguez wanted to portray but shows that Jane is a normal woman with desires too.
On a more personal note, Rodriguez revealed her first time was “magical,” just like a “Mandy Moore movie experience.” She lost her virginity when she was 17 to the “sweetest guy ever.”
Will Jane have the same magical experience? Or will it happen by accident or unexpectedly? Stay tuned for more updates before Jane the Virgin Season 3 premieres on Oct. 17 on The CW.
