NBA Rumors: Bucks to acquire Russell Westbrook for Jabari Parker, Khris Middleton?

Since the departure of Kevin Durant from the Oklahoma City Thunder, Russell Westbrook has been involved in a lot of NBA rumors regarding his future. One of the latest speculations suggests that the Milwaukee Bucks made an offer for Westbrook but they pulled out of the possible deal.

According to Adam Joseph of SB Nation, Thunder general manager Sam Presti discussed a Westbrook trade with several teams including the Bucks, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics. Milwaukee reportedly offered a great deal but they were put off because Westbrook did not want to sign an extension.

Dan Sinclair of Brew Hoop reported that the Bucks probably offered Jabari Parker and Khris Middleton for Westbrook. The Thunder would likely want Giannis Antetokounmpo but the Bucks view him as an untouchable.

Milwaukee has been looking for an answer at point guard and Westbrook will give them that, as well as a legitimate superstar. However, their core could have a taken a hit with the departures of Parker and Middleton.

Also, Westbrook said no to an extension to the Bucks that caused them to back off. Nevertheless, they are serious about making the team better after failing to make the playoffs last season. The Bucks still have players such as Michael Carter-Williams and Greg Monroe to use in a big trade.

On the other hand, the Spurs, Lakers, and Celtics have better chances of acquiring the 27-year-old point guard than the Bucks. The Spurs are still a top contender while the Lakers and Celtics are loaded with assets.
