Live cricket score, England vs Pakistan, 2nd Test day 2: Joe Root is unbeaten at 141.   England bounced back in a superb fashion in second Test match against Pakistan after facing a defeat at Lord’s in the first encounter. Riding on Alastair Cook and Joe Root’s hundreds, the hosts ended day 1 in a commanding position with a total of 314/4 on the board. Cook though was dismissed for 105 runs by Mohammad Amir but Joe Root is still there at the crease with a personal score of 141. Cook scored his 29th Test century. Though, no other batsman was able to pile a big score for England. Gary Ballance was bowled by Rahat Ali overs before close of play. For Pakistan, the duo of left-arm quick bowlers, Mohammad Amir and Rahat Ali picked up four wickets with two scalps apiece. The first match’s star leg spinner Yasir Shah didn’t had a great day as the right-arm bowler went wicketless in his 31 overs of the day.
