New Rogue One alien Edrio Two Tubes has an important link to Forest Whikaker's Saw

Get ready for a whole new bunch of strange Star Wars names.The latest character unveiled for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is yet another grizzled fighter with a grudge.Edrio Two Tubes was introduced at Comic-Con in San Diego this week. The Tognath mercenary joins the motley crew that take on teh evil Empire when the film hits cinemas in December.But who is he, why does he need those tubes and was he really hatched from an egg?FACEBOOKYou’ll never guess why he’s called Edrio Two TubesYOUTUBE Even aliens like to decorate their weapons…An official post of the Star Wars Facebook page gives us some background information on the character.We also see that he comes very well equipped with what looks like a rifle and some kind of heavy hand-held, primitive weapon with distinctive markins carved on its surface.The official description says: “Edrio Two Tubes is a mercenary pilot who flies alongside his eggmate, Benthic. The two share the nickname derived from the breathing apparatus that allows their Tognath physiology to process oxygen atmospheres.”Rogue One continues to present new life forms and planets as the Star Wars universe expands on the big screen. Very little is known as yet about Edrio’s people or whether they are really hatched from eggs or “eggmate” is a term of familial relationships.The descriptrion adds: “”Edrio’s home world Yar Togna was conquered and occupied by the Empire, forcing him to flee as a refugee.”Desiring to strike back at the Empire, Edrio and Benthic have allied with Saw Gerrera.”Saw Gerera will be played by Forest Whitaker in the upcoming Star Wars Anthology film and is a controversial figure in the Rebel Alliance.DISNEY/FACEBOOKThe charmingly-named Edrio and SawGerrera was one of the leaders of the Onderan rebels who fought the Empire during the…
